Sadie Tremblay (she/her/hers) is Red River Métis and a citizen of the Manitoba Métis Federation with family ties to Southern Manitoba. Having trained professionally as a forensic anthropologist in Scotland and Alberta, she is an experienced researcher specializing in critical data studies and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Alberta in anthropology. This path led her to fall in love with hands-on and land-based education and exploring indigenist knowledge translation and exchange.

Currently based in Tkaronto (“where the trees stand tall in the water”), she works as an Indigenous land-based outdoor educator helping to reconnect students, teachers, and members of the community with the natural world and foster a love of lifelong learning. Her research interests include forensic human identification, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP), critical data studies, knowledge translation and exchange, and heart-centred research practices.
